The Art of Comedy: Humorous Form of Entertainment

In this world characterized by a society that is ever-changing and constantly moving on a very fast pace, an individual sometimes tends to forget how to laugh and enjoy life without thinking all the anxiety that the world brings. Life is really tough, especially when troubles get into your way and no one seems to care or even at least ask how you are doing. With all of these stressors present, a person would most likely lose his or her sense of sanity without coping skills to handle the situation. However, life is not always about full of hardships, there are also funny moments wherein one can say that life is indeed very colorful. Come to think of it, life is actually a comedy from a distance. What I am trying to say is that when you view life and try to evaluate all the things you have done in this world including all the foolishness and stupid decisions you have made, it actually looks funny. The lesson that life teaches us is that we must try to laugh at our own mistakes and live life in a happy disposition. We will only exist in this world once so let us make the most out of it. Funny as it seems, we must learn how to live life imbibing the principles of comedy.

The term comedy is related to the word happiness, that is, comedy brings about a feeling of joy and happiness. The art of comedy provides a humorous form of entertainment to all persons living around the world. It brings about a feeling of genuine happiness. When one feels happy, people around him or her tends to feel happy as well. You see comedy is not only entertaining; it also makes an individual forget life's problems at least for a moment. As a matter of fact, some would even say that “laughter is the best medicine”. Comedy provides a sort of therapy which makes a person feel youthful, rejuvenated, and positive in all aspects. That is why people who are humorous and has a comedic personality have a lot of friends in the community. Being with those types of people will always be interesting. There are never dull moments and life just seems to be so simple and worry-free like you use to know it when you are still an innocent kid.

Being humorous and comedic is actually never learned, it is a trait within you that is programmed in your genes. It may sound too scientific, but it actually does make sense. Some people are just naturally born comedians and that is something that is never taught in school or learned in the streets. It is just like individuals who are natural born singers. They are very good in singing, even if no formal training is applied. Therefore, we can say that being a comedian is a form of talent given by God. Making another people laugh and being quite good with it is a gift, and it will never be learned no matter what school or workshop you enroll in. Being very funny will really help a person gain a lot of friends in the society. Aside from that, being funny will also give an individual a chance to earn a pile of money by being a comedian in different comedy bars and clubs in the world of entertainment. A comedian with this type of profession is very well compensated especially if the jokes, he or she is cracking gets the attention of the audience. The more audience watching, the more famous is the comedian. The more famous is the comedian, the higher is his or her talent fee.

Possessing a trait of being funny is definitely an advantage for an individual. Interpersonal skills are far more developed in comparison to the types of people who are timid and uncomfortable with crowds. The art of comedy provides a source of happiness to the people, whether young or considered young at heart. Being happy is infectious so comedians try to make as many people happy for them to spread happiness to other people. The art of comedy does not only provide entertainment to the world, it also reminds individuals to have a philosophy of happiness since that is what comedy promotes. Living life with inner peace and full of happiness will make the world a better place for you and the entire human race.
